I am so very excited to share with you my first ever Sailor Moon cosplay and it will certainly not be the last now that I have her wig in my cosplay collection. I watched the Sailor Moon anime as a little girl and my parents remember just as much as I do in terms of how much I LOVED the show. She's funny, she's a clutz, she's CONSTANTLY thinking she has body issues but I still love her character in too many ways to count, maybe because all girls are like that at some point I was very nervous to cosplay this character simply because of her popularity and how many amazing versions are currently out there.

It can be over whelming when trying to measure up to them. However this isn't the first time for me making a bodysuit, a pleated skirt or the sailor neck peice so it wasn't completely new territory. I made the skirt from a non-shine satin because I wanted the neck peice and the ribbon details on the skirt to stand out. The bodysuit is made from a nylon stretch fabric that is double layered so it wasn't transparent. But it's completely matte like what I wanted and so soft!!!! I made the gloves from the same fabric a while back for another costume. The red accents on the gloves, and my red bow on the front are made from a velvet ribbon. Now the costume called for transparent arm accents but the bow isn't. In the concept art I used the arm accents are the same colour as the bow. For the sake of time and effort I used the same satin as the bow to make them. I still really love the result. You can't see it as well in this picture but I also made the saber from a dowel, card stock, velvet ribbon, and air dry foam. I also used air dry foam to make my hair peices, painted with acrylics and then glossed the hell out of them. I adore the results!

I got the chance to shoot with the amazing Trilliance Photograph once more and my goodness did we ever have some catching up to do! Missed him so much and we took some amazing shots together, but I haven't known a time where he didn't take awesome pictures! More from this set will be coming to you in the weeks ahead!

Nicely done cosplay, like the prop you have here and the leaves add so much color to the scene!

This is more cute than Sailor Moon herself. How does that even work?
